October 19: Two turning to THREE!

Little Sweetie's big three year-old moment had so much build up, I had to make a separate post for it! We had her  pictures taken; threw her an early birthday party with her god-sibling, L; had a special Momma-daughter day; painted pottery, and had a cheesecake lunch with her friends!  I'm pretty sure that she is going to inherit her momma's habit of celebrating birthdays for the entire month!

Look at this angel...you'd never know that she was a complete monster during this photoshoot!  This is the magic of our photographer!

Loves her Daddy!

Yeah, the on the ground pictures are adorable...but they are also because SHE THREW HERSELF ON THE GROUND AND REFUSED TO GET UP.  Hello, Threenager!  The running picture that shows off her super cool Paw Patrol dress?  Yeah, she was trying to run away from getting her picture taken.

But Momma still loves her.

I'm a little concerned about how big her smiles is WHILE SHE RUNS AWAY FROM US.  Sigh.

These family shots mean more than I can convey.

Finally, one shot that captures her sparkling personality during this whole picture process.

She's three.  And we love her.  But she's puts us through our paces!

Ready for some birthday fun with L at their joint party at The Little Gym!

Welcome friends!

Dance time was a big hit!

As was parachute time!

Enjoying her birthday girl status!

Birthday boy L was content to watch the proceedings with his daddy.

Birthday kids with their godparents!

Blessed to have this wonderful god-family!  :)

Excited for new furniture for her dollhouse!

And, before we knew it, it was someone's last day of being two!  We decided to go out with a bang.  But first we had to make sure she was healthy!

The toys in the waiting room were the best part of her well check, lol.  Actually, she rocked her blood pressure and other vitals signs, aced the eye test, and behaved perfectly during her physical.  She wasn't thrilled about her flu shot, but at least it was the only shot she needed this time!

Story time helped soothe her after her shot.  As did the 5 lollipops the doctor gave her for her birthday.

Enjoying her lollipop on the throne at Sweet and Sassy.

I'm going to be 3 tomorrow!

She asked for two specific things for her birthday...color on her nails and flowers.  Momma decided to make the first one come true.

Loved the bubbles!

And there's the color!

Did a great job with her manicure too!

Checking out the paint job!

So happy!

Walking the stage to show off!

Look at those pretty nails!

We ended the day by giving Big Brother's horse a carrot (that's her special job at horse therapy!) and drawing a pretty amazing puppy!

The birthday gifts were set out with care!

And we have a three year-old!!!

The newly minted three year-old wanted to start her day off painting with her friends.  She picked a cupcake!

Excited for a birthday cheesecake surprise!  Momma, Daddy, her friends, and her godparents came to celebrate her!

The wee ones!

Burn off a little energy with some mall playtime...

...before a nice birthday nap!

And then Daddy brought her the birthday flowers she requested!

Flowers and cake.  Life doesn't get much better.

Cake time!

And the reveal of the big present from Momma and Daddy...a new bike!  No more tricycles for this big girl!

Ending the day with our beautiful batgirl, Rainbow Brite-loving, doctor daughter.  You're everything, baby girl.  And you can BE anything.  Never forget that!

We love this girl so much.  Until next time,

Race Day: 1 for Texas!

Now that the Run Club season has started, it's time to put our practice into action for their races!  One for Texas was the first race of the season.  It didn't go as well as we hoped; Little Buddy's allergies had kicked in the day before, so he was pretty miserable and Little Sweetie seemed to forget how far a mile was.  But they both finished and we are so proud of them!

Carb-loading the night before with some blueberry pancakes!

The race gear was set out in the kitchen with care!

Ready to race as the sun comes up!

Here comes Little Sweetie!

Coming into the finish!

They had more fun than this post-race picture would suggest!  Both were very happy to get their medals!

The professional pictures captured their excitement better!  Can't wait to order some!

See you next race!

Wee Ones Wednesday: Zoo and 7 Acre Fun

When Big Brother was younger, we always went on outings with our close group of friends.  It was so amazing to have such a close knit group of mommies and kiddos!  Unfortunately, as all of our big ones have gotten bigger, it's been harder to get the little ones together as often, due to the schedule demands of our bigger families.  We've been working really hard to try to get our littles together and we had two successes!

First up was a group trip to the zoo!  Little Sweetie was excited to spend the day with her friends J and K!

Ready for zoo fun!

Giraffe feeding time!

So brave!

Happy giraffes!

Traipsing around the zoo with her hands in her pockets!

She wasn't thrilled about the dinosaur section at first, but after we talked about them being pretend statues that moved, she was happy to wave to them!

Thirsty kids after a long day!

The mommas!

J, Little Sweetie, and K.  Of course, the boys both slept on the way home.  Guess who didn't?

Our next playdate was at 7 Acre Wood.  I hadn't been here since Big Brother was little and it was nice to see that they had expanded their offerings.

My little horsewoman enjoying her pony ride!  She especially enjoyed this because she's gotten a little jealous of watching Little Buddy always ride horses at therapy.

Quick selfie with momma on the hayride...

...followed by a train ride!

A quick round of golf with J to finish the visit!

They each got to pick a small pumpkin to take home and then we valiantly tried to get one picture all of them looking.  Oh well!  Such a lovely day with J, Baby K, K, and Little Sweetie!

Hoping we can continue these playdates.  The kids were definitely excited to spend time with their friends!

Good night,
