Let's Go to the Beach!

We continued our Memorial Weekend tradition with another trip with some of our Texas "family".  This year, we decided to go back to the beach at Port Aransas but, instead of getting separate condos, we rented a large beach house so we could all stay together.  We had a wonderful time!

The weather was great!  We just had to deal with some seaweed on one of the days.

When we weren't at the beach, we were having a great time at the beach house.  I think staying in one place together worked out really well.  Thank you to the D family and the E family for such an awesome trip!

Family Fun in Texas

After a wonderful trip to Ohio last month, we were lucky again to visit with some family but this time in Texas.  Uncle C received his Masters degree from Rice and Mimi and Pop-Pop came down to celebrate!  Little Buddy and Little Sweetie were very excited to have some grandparent attention again.

Little Buddy was a bit unsure about Uncle C in his robes, until he made the connection between these robes and the robes that the Statue of Liberty wears.

Who doesn't love when grandparents come into town?

Brother and sister had a great time with Mimi and Pop-Pop and Daddy and I were very grateful to them for watching the kiddos while we had an overnight date night (our first night away from Sam).  I know the kids loved having special time with them and it means so much to Daddy and I to be able to enjoy our night together (instead of getting overly emotional about leaving baby girl--sniff) knowing they were making wonderful memories with their grandparents.

And here we are already at 7 months!  Time flies when you're having fun I guess!

     

A happy 7 month old who likes to pull herself up!

She's become quite the eater since starting solids last month and now even sits in a high chair with us at restaurants, begging for more rice rusks.

She's also really starting to interact and play with other kiddos, especially with her big brother and her puppy brother!

Height and Weight 

Our at home measurements have her at 26.5 inches and 18.5 pounds.  Growing big and strong!

Personality

Again, she's just so happy!  Only times she gets angry or fussy is when she's hungry, you dare to leave her eye sight for 3 seconds, or you attempt to feed her with a bottle (excuse me, Momma, who said you go anywhere?  You should just stay home with me all the time!).  She's also very adventurous, ready to crawl or climb into action anytime, anywhere.  And with lightening speed!

Developmental Milestones

Sitting and crawling fast (really fast...like moves between room in the blink of an eye fast) just were not enough...now she's starting to pull herself up!  And get up on her knees and toes a bit.  Slow down, baby girl!  She's also starting to make the "ba" sound.

Fun Tidbits

At her Godparents' gender reveal party (it's a boy!!!!), Little Sweetie got to go swimming for the first time.  Our little water bug loved it, which surprises me not, since she's such a fan of the bath.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hoping all the mommies, grandmas, like-a-moms, mother's-to-be, and those waiting for the day that they will be a mommy had a great day!  I got to spend it with my two favorite munchkins and got to rest a bit thanks to my dear husband.
