September 19

What an exciting month!  Though it is hard to believe that my next post will be about my TWO year old!  Where is the time going?!?

Momma's cousin A came to visit at the end of August and Little Sweetie was exciting to have some extra girl time and show her the sights!  We took A out to our normal haunts: shopping, library time, dinner, and an Astros game!

Little Sweetie and A!

Going shopping at Carters and picking out some new rain boots!

And of course we had to get the matching jacket!  It had started to sprinkle at the library, so someone was more than happy to wear her new purchases!  Love our little ladybug!

Take me out to the ballgame!  She's enjoying eating popcorn while watching the Astros...

...while I am enjoying staring at her gorgeous curls!

We took cousin A out purse shopping...

...and then dinner by the water!  Little Sweetie loves looking at Daddy's work building in the background!

Sugar packets make the best toys at restaurants!

After cousin A left, it was time for fall to really start.  Big Brother went back to school and Momma and Little Sweetie started their new routine together!

Bubby's off to kindergarten, but Daddy made Little Sweetie her own sign to hold to hold for the day.  This 22-month-old did great tracing the letters and numbers!

Annual Boo-Hoo Breakfast with all of our friends.  We are going to miss the Big Kids while they are at school this year!

It's ok though, we'll keep ourselves busy.  Time to get our workout clothes on for bootcamp...

...following by park playtime!

And sometimes being alone with Momma means you get special treats at the store...like a Strawberry Shortcake doll!

Also, Little Sweetie is in love with baseball!  She had a great time at Big Brother's Miracle League practice and can't get enough of going to Astros games!

Put her in, Coach!

Totally enthralled.

But we don't have to do anything special for me to realize how blessed I am to have these days with her...sometimes the simplest things are the best...

Like starting my day seeing this face waiting for me in her crib...

...or helping this stylish girl brush her teeth...

...or catching her in the act of something questionable...

...or having lunch with friends...

...or just the simple act of evening snuggles.  Blessed to have this baby girl and blessed to be home with her.  We love you, Little Sweetie!

Height and Weight
Little Sweetie is still right under 25 lbs. and 33 inches.  And we're still trying to add some poundage as best we can!

Great fork work!  Now just eat more, lol!

Personality
Short-lived temper tantrums are happening now!  She's lucky she's so cute when she's mad/whiny/driving me crazy!

Developmental Milestones
Well, we are weaned.  :(  I'm sad.  Well, not sad, sad.  More just mourning the passage of time and realizing that my baby isn't such a baby anymore.  Daddy had to go to Ohio for a week and, because it was a treatment week in Minnesota for Big Brother, Little Sweetie went with Daddy.  She went a whole week without it and didn't ask for it when she got back.  Bittersweet.  She had been skipping her evening ones without issue while I was out of town anyway, but it's still hard to see this special time we had together end.  But I am glad that we had such a great nursing relationship and that we both reached the point that we were both ok with it ending (I'm not nearly as upset with this as I was when I had to wean Big Brother because I had an upcoming surgery).  I'm also very thankful that Daddy got pictures of our last time nursing together.

Beautiful final nursing moments with my sweet girl.

Our baby is growing up.  And she's amazing.

Fun Tidbits
Even though we are home during the day without Bubby, it's doesn't mean our day isn't without its craziness.  We are redoing our floor downstairs, swapping out our carpet for wood tile.  These means we have a lot of time stuck upstairs, which presents it's own unique set of challenges.

Oh my goodness!  Why, oh, why is my upstairs torn to pieces???  Oh yeah that's right...

...because my downstairs is REALLY torn to pieces!!!

It was noisy and crazy, but we did manage to enjoy some upstairs picnics!

So I'll see you back here next month...when I have a two year old!

Good night,
