March 19

The end of February and the beginning of March is a very busy time with The Woodlands Marathon events and Charity Challenge for our crew, but we made it through with WILLPower!  Very proud of Little Sweetie for her running and her cheering skills.

It was a cold and rainy day for the Kid's 2K, but Little Sweetie and her friends were up to the challenge!

Team WILLPower, ready to run!

Preschool friends forever!  Go Super Kids!

Little Sweetie loved that her school's Run Club participated and she got to see so many of her friends!

Godsiblings!

Go WILLPower!

Guess who pushed it and got a PR!  Woo!

So proud of my favorite runners!

It was the grown-ups' turn the next week and Little Sweetie brought her best cheer game to keep everyone going through some hot and humid conditions!

Bringing the energy to the course!

Annual Chuy's celebration lunch!

Huge thanks to Ms. A for all her help on race day when Daddy had to work!

All of us were exhausted following the race, so Little Sweetie had her heart's fill of Scooby-Do for the rest of the day!

Our little second grader continues to enjoy school and is having a blast with her friends and all her activities.

Just living her best second grade life!

Enjoying cowgirling it on Go Texan Day!

Parent picnic day fun!

Girl Scouts also continues keeping us both busy!  This month has had more cookie sales, a robotic workshop, and Girl Scout Sunday.

Our little Cookie Entrepreneur!

The Troop enjoyed an amazing Robotics Workshop at the Children's Museum; the built and programmed bee robots!

Recognizing our girls after Mass on Girl Scout Sunday.

And then it was Spring Break!  We're saving our big vacation for the summer, so we planned some activities to make a fun Staycation.  The week started off with celebrating our favorite guy...Daddy!  Little Sweetie took her kitchen skills to task to decorate his birthday cake.

Sunday birthday fun!

On Monday, Little Sweetie asked for a special day with Momma, so while Daddy worked from home with Big Brother, the girls went to the library, went shopping, got mani-pedis, and had lunch together.

Sparkly nails!

It's time to shop for First Communion dresses...eeee!

On Tuesday the weather was nice, so Daddy took the day off and we had a family day at the zoo.  It was crowded, but we enjoyed the day and even added in a train ride!

These Wild Kratts had a great day!

On Wednesday, we decided to enjoy some park time before picking Daddy up from a medical procedures.  I loved watching Little Sweetie find ways to play with Big Brother.

Such a special relationship!

Little Sweetie and I ended Wednesday with a campout night.  We put up the tent and roasted s'mores.  We slept outside until Daddy had to go to work the next morning, so we came inside to be in the house with Big Brother and get some extra bed rest.

S'mores time!

Tent is ready!

Cozy in our sleeping bags!

Got a little extra rest in and then enjoyed breakfast in a mess kit!

We finished Spring Break by breaking in the new boat with a picnic on the lake.  It was even more special since Aunt A was in town and could join us.

Can't wait for more boat time this summer!

And, as always, there was cooking!  It's been harder to cook together right now because of all Little Sweetie's activities, so we were glad to open her India recipe box and make some curry.

Cilantro Coconut Chicken Curry with Roasted Cauliflower and Naan!

Height and Weight
Someone finally broke 60 lbs.!  Little Sweetie is at 60.8 lbs. and went up another quarter of an inch.  She's about 50.75 inches this month.

Our gorgeous girl!

Personality
Our happy girl who also shows such kindness and thoughtfulness to her brother.  I hope she continues to grow in this type of awareness and love.

My favorite sibling pair.

Developmental Milestones
Right before Spring Break we received Little Sweetie's mid-year evaluation results.  We are excited that she's doing really well at school, but her scores indicate that she needs more challenges.  We'll be working with her teacher to look for ways to keep her growing and learning so she doesn't get board.

Always tinkering.  This time making a bridge from fruit snacks and toothpicks.

Fun Tidbits
Fun holiday traditions this month!  Green shirts and gold chocolate coins for St. Patrick's Day and then got into to see the Easter Bunny during break.  The year is moving fast!

How is Spring Break over and Easter next month??

Looking forward to Spring weather and upcoming events, like Little Sweetie's first track meet and the start of swim season!  The year keeps moving right along.

Good night,

LSM
