September 19

Well, we've made it though a month of school and are still powering on ahead (though a pandemic) with hope and a commitment to family.  We keep having fun and staying safe and that's all we can do.  It's not always easy, but we have to raise Little Sweetie for the world that actually exists, not the one we wish would exist.  So far, she's doing great with everything!

We've been able to have a few fun adventures too, including another Astros game!  Mr. R, an old friend of Momma's, is a trainer for the Seattle Mariners and we've been trying to meet up when they come to Houston for years, but it never worked out.  Until now!

Had a great time at the game.  Thanks, Mr. R!

Fun with the E family is always welcome too!

Catching frogs over Labor Day weekend with B and E!

We also have lots of fun at home and with each other.  We're still limiting how often we go out, especially to places with big crowds, so we're lucky we can have fun together!

Just a girl and her polar bear!

Nathan the Polar Bear even got his own desk setup right next to Little Sweetie's!

Jump roping in a jean jacket inside?  Why not!

Getting a letter from her friend G was some big excitement!

Taking walks is a big part of our weekend plans!

Momma might be partial to couch cuddles while watching movies.

Actually, I'm just partial to anytime these two are together and happy (coordinating shirts optional, but preferred).

And, as always, there was cooking!

Breakfast dinner with delicious chilaquiles!

When you need something sweet, you make some Tollhouse Pan Cookies!

Height and Weight
Little Sweetie is now 55.4 pounds and 50 inches...we can't believe she shot up so much in a month!

Don't worry, it's just her height and weight that have changed, not her hair and eyesight!  She's just super excited to show off her Velma costume for Halloween!

Personality
Little Sweetie is silly and crazy and witty and fun, with a pretty advanced vocabulary to boot.  She's a lot of fun to be around (most of the time!).

Hey there, silly girl!

Developmental Milestones
Little Sweetie keeps maturing and building her skills!  This new second grader is a voracious reader and is already to create something new.

Always reading, whether it be the Bible or the Sunday comics!

The continued artistic endeavors of our innovate girl!

Finally got to pick up her pieces from her summer ceramics class...so impressed with all she learned!

Fun Tidbits
With the school year starting, it means that our Scouting year is also starting!  Little Sister got to officially bridge from Daisies to Brownies.

So proud of Brownie Girl Scout!

Next month is Halloween and Little Sweetie's birthday and she is ALL READY on both accounts.  See you then!

Good night,

LSM
