May 19

Why hello May!  Or should I say, "Maycember?!"  With the amount of activity at this time of year only being rivaled by December, it's getting a bit bonkers around here.  However, the bonkers is keeping me too busy to mourn the fact that my third grader is soon to be a rising fourth grader...I'm not ready!

Following Easter, all the late spring madness immediately started...Field Day, Swim Team, end of year parties and performances...so busy, but so much fun for Little Sweetie!

Enjoying Field Day at school!

The biggest change to our routine is the addition of summer swim.  Little Sweetie's moved up an age level and the competition has gotten stronger, but we can see her making gains too!

Swim practice time!

Biking to and from practice...bet you can't guess her favorite colors!

Doing a "stop" rain dance a very rainy swim meet!

Even when we're not competing, we go watch some competition!

Enjoying our time at this year's Ironman!

And then the parties and performances started!

Girl Scout skating party!

Lots of fun at T's birthday party!

Supporting E at her end of year play!

Speaking of end of year performances, Little Sweetie had her Spring Fine Arts Showcase at school.  The theme was Kids on Broadway.  The kids wore pajamas to showcase their Broadway dreams and families were asked to come red carpet ready.  Little Sweetie also earned a solo for the Newsies performance and was able to add a bit of costume to her outfit for the number.

Our favorite Newsie!

Ready for the show!

Seize the day!

The best part of May?  To me, it was Mother's Day.  It was beautiful day of gifts, omelet bars, beautiful choir music, and just time with my favorite humans.

Happy Mother's Day to me!

Even with all this activity...we still make time for our daily walks.  Sometimes you have to take your dog and cat for a walk!

Walking our animals!

Height and Weight
Little Sweetie is still at 70.2 lbs. this month but shot up to 54 3/8 inches!

Our beautiful, confident girl ready to sing at 8th grade graduation!

Personality
Still goofy and fun, although can get emotional and frustrated fairly quickly.  But we love her silly side!

Glad she marches to her own beat!

Developmental Milestones
So much growth this past year, it's crazy to think about how much our little girl has advanced.  It's every so apparent at the end of the school year.  We are so proud of her!

Little Sweetie and Daddy working on her Science Research Project on the grassland prairies.

Hooked on the Percy Jackson series!

Even being patient enough to allow Daddy and I to practice braiding her hair!

Fun Tidbits
Little Sweetie's godsibling, L, make his First Communion this month!  It was a joy to be together for it.

Congratulations L!

Next month, Summer!

Good night,
