March 19

After our Ohio trip last month, we went back into our regularly scheduled programming of...BUSY!  We had a few weeks of activities before it was time for Spring Break.

Girl Scouts has taken up a decent chunk of our time with it being cookie season, but Little Sweetie's done well with selling and organizing and is very excited for helping to fund her camp this summer!

Sorting cookies!

She did really well speaking to customers at the cookie booths!

How is she a second year Brownie already??

She's continuing to have a great 3rd grade year and enjoys school and time with her friends.

Ready for Go Texan Day and Dr. Seuss Day!

Loving Chess Club!

Weekend playdate with her besties!

The end of February coincided with the end of Run Club and Little Sweetie setting a PR in her race!

SECS Run Club!

Pre-race warmup with friends!

They did it!

PR! Excited with her 2K and Kids Marathon Medals!

Team WILLPower!

Ready to show our WILLPower for Rare Disease Day and the upcoming Marathon Weekend!

Got her WILLPower on for Rare Disease Day and then to go cheer on Momma!

Great job Momma!

And then it was already time for Spring Break!  We didn't travel anywhere (too many trips coming up later this year!) but we did have a lot of fun with outings around town, Daddy's birthday, and a visit from Mamaw and Papaw.  I personally need a "break after our Spring Break!"

Monday was Daddy's birthday and he picked Top Golf as our activity.  Little Sweetie was all in, but we realized she's grown so much that she'll need a new set of clubs!

Her "professional golfer" stance.

Great time together!

Our baker helped to decorate Daddy's cake; happy birthday Daddy!

Tuesday found us at the zoo with our friends C and A!

The three amigas!

Oh these monkeys!

Good times with good buddies!

By Wednesday, I realized that I had completely over-scheduled us as I was exhausted, but down to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo we went for the morning!  We haven't gone since 2019.  We had a great morning, but man I was tired afterward!

Excited for the day!

She's getting so big; next year she might be too big for the pony rides!  So we indulged her cowgirl dreams again this year.

Rabbit petting!

The tractors are always such a big hit!

She wanted Dippin' Dots at the zoo on Tuesday, but I put her off and promised them as a rodeo treat.  Promise fulfilled!

We managed to keep Thursday a bit lower key, but did manage to go see the Easter Bunny!

Matching outfits make Momma happy, lol!

Little Sweetie did come with me on Thursday night to pick up Mamaw and Papaw from the airport, but we didn't start our real fun with them until Friday (also St. Patrick's Day!), with a trip to Main Event.  She had a great time bowling and playing games (although we had less fun when we found out the catalytic converter off of Tim's truck had been stolen when we came out.  Whomp Whomp.).

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Ready to bowl!

She started doing really well once I offered 25 cents for each time she didn't hit a bumper!

Really enjoyed herself in the arcade!

Overall, it was a really fun Spring Break and good visit with Mamaw and Papaw!

Height and Weight
Little Sweetie went up a bit to 70 lbs. this month and is about 53.5 inches!

Our silly smily girl!

Look how long her hair is!

Personality
The "tone" is still happening, but so are the hugs and silliness.  As she begins her journey over the gulf between little girl and tween, I'm hopeful that she want get to big too quickly.  We love this little girl.

Still loves climbing the vegetables outside of Black Walnut and dressing in matching clothes with her dolls.

Developmental Milestones
She's quick-witted and sharp as a tack, while also very creative and looking for new things to do.  School continues to go well and we work daily on making sure we understand learning is a lifelong process and to not be discouraged if she's not instantly good at something.

Making a boat out of potato tray!

Fun Tidbits
Everything was fun this month, so no stand out tidbits other than this photo that I just love.  Catching her in the early morning making a wish on a dandelion seed plant.  She's awesome.

Our beautiful and amazing daughter.

The school year is going to move really quickly and before I know it, it will be summer break.  Looking forward to every moment with this girl!

Good night,
