Back again! Another month in the books with our Little Sweetie and lots of fun for this little girl.
Good gracious, she's beautiful!
Every day we wake up and we head out on our adventures. So lucky to have these days with her and to be able to live in the moment and enjoy our routine. The days are passing too quickly! She will start preschool this fall, so I am just busy soaking up all of our time together!
Happy breakfast girl! Loves her Wheaties, bananas, and toast!
Cowgirl loves to play outside!
Although silly superhero has fun being inside too!
Playdate fun!
Cutie pie ready for church!
Ending the day with a little Lite Brite fun!
Little Sweetie got to have some special adventures this month too! While Momma and Daddy went on their anniversary trip to Hawaii, Little Sweet got to have quality time with Mimi, Pop-Pop, Aunt S, and Uncle M!
Little girl hard at work helping stain the pirate ship and plant the garden. She definitely earned a few picnics during her work breaks!
But it wasn't all work! Lots of fun was had too. Playing outside and special lunches with Aunt S!
Off to Sesame Street Live with Aunt S, Uncle M, and L!
Enjoying the show and some popcorn!
After the show, time for lunch...
And then a nap with their balloons! What a fun day!
Height and Weight
Still at about 34 pounds, but moving up to officially 37 inches!
Personality
Little Sweetie is really starting to exercise control in her world now. She narrates her own story as she goes about her day, creates elaborate stories for her toys, names all her stuffed animals and all the bugs she encounters (she mostly names them after herself), and yells out "Pickles!" if she doesn't want to answer something. You can see her becoming more confident of herself and her place in the world. However, she will also often break down into tears and, when asked, admit that she doesn't know why she is crying.
Developmental Milestones
Gross motor skills have sure been getting their work out this month! Not only is she a speed demon on her bicycle tonight but she also finished her 25 miles for Run Club! Can't wait for her to run her race next month and get her big medal!
Margaret Tigers may need some seatbelt in the bike basket with as fast as Little Sweetie is going!
Resting after finishing her 25th mile! So proud of her!
Fun Tidbits
Daddy took Big Brother to Minnesota this month, so the girls got to stay home. We are never alone together overnight, so we decided to do something special. And that's how Little Sweetie had her very first "slumber party"! We watched a movie (she picked Cinderella) while eating popcorn and sitting on our sleeping bags and then then we slept in the sleeping bags on the floor of her room! She loved it (which was good because her smiles made me feel better about my aching back from sleeping on the floor!).
Girls' night!
Good night,
