We survived the April of unending travel, hooray! As you'll seen in separate posts, Little Sweetie saw the Statue of Liberty, cheered at the Boston Marathon, danced at an Ohio wedding, and experienced the Texas Ironman. But the train never stops, so here comes May!
Lots of fun playing at home with Big Brother, newly discovered toys, and pictures on the fireplace (which is about the only place that she will permit pictures to be taken).
Little Buddy had Career Day at school. He decided he wanted to be a airplane pilot when he grew up. Not to be outdone, Little Sweetie dressed up as Skye from Paw Patrol, which is who she wants to be when she grows up. These pictures melted my heart.
Little Sweetie found my old doll, Elizabeth, and immediately fell in love. Made me so happy to see her play with the doll that I loved so dearly when I was a child.
Seriously, these are the pictures I get when I ask for smiles. Oh this precious girl!
However, May also means our Momma/Daughter time is nearly finished. While we will be excited to make new adventures this summer once Little Buddy is home from school, I will miss our special time together. This fall she'll be going to preschool and our days won't be the same as they are now. And that's ok, because I know we'll have more fun in different ways. But I still cherish this time.
She always has such great activities at library story time. She loved her binoculars for the safari!
After our last library time. With her starting preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays this fall, we won't be able to do story time together anymore. I will miss our terrific Tuesdays!
My favorite workout buddy! She does such awesome things during Baby Boot Camp. I love that she loves getting strong. We'll have to go on hiatus during the summer because of Big Brother being off of school, but we will be back in the fall!
Height and Weight
Roughly around 35 pounds and now getting close to 37.5 inches! Slow but steady, little one.
Personality
So smart and so fun and such her own person already. The three year old meltdowns do happen, most times when she doesn't get her own way or doesn't nap, but overall we just love hanging out with her everyday.
Our awesome girl.
Developmental Milestones
Really hitting the gross motor skills this month! She's added scootering to her interests and some days she prefers that to biking. She's also finally starting jumping with two feet over lines! It's been a tough one for her, but we've been working on it. Not out of any real concern, but having a developmentally delayed older brother just makes us sensitive to making sure she hits all of her stuff. We take comfort in it.
Just scootering along, blond curls bouncing along.
And the fine motor and curiosity growth continues as well...our little scientist's budding mind just can't be stopped! She loves doing her experiments and I was impressed by her tweezer grip.
Making raisins dance! She takes her science experiments very seriously. Check out those safety glasses!
Fun Tidbits
We had some special visitors this month! Mr. A and Ms. J came in from Florida for a conference and we got to spend some time with them. Little Sweetie, who is usually a bit shy around new people, surprised me when she warmed to them immediately. What a fun day with these Sanfilippo friends!
Sunglass fun with Ms. J!
Lunchtime shenanigans with Mr. A.
Such a fun day!
And on to the next month! See you in June,
