And 2023 keeps rolling right along...hello February! The year is in full swing, with our Little Sweetie as busy as ever.
Little Sweetie's school kicked off February with their first family dance! It was a western theme and everyone had a great time. The kids had been working on a line dance in music class and were ready to perform!

Our adventures in Girl Scouting also keep coming! Not only is it cookie season, but we also got to have a great day at the Galactic Girls event at the Museum of Natural Science.

We also were fortunate to be able to fit in a special event this month. Our good friend, E, was in a local production of Descendants. Little Sweetie watched the movie for the first time in order to be ready for the play and was so excited!

And, of course, February means Valentines Day and celebrating the love of our family!

We've also thankfully been able to fit a few recipes in this past month. Finding cooking time is tough with our busy schedule, but we're thankful to be able to do it when we can!

Height and Weight
Little Sweetie went up a bit to 68.4 lbs. this month and is now just above 53 inches!

Personality
Little Sweetie is often hysterical and sometimes dramatic, with a slight bit of "tone" thrown in for good measure. She's an amazing 9 year old girl who is also sweet and silly and fun.
Never change.
Developmental Milestones
For as much as our girl grows up, we can't help but take a moment to appreciate the "kid-ness" she still maintains. It can be an odd age, heading toward puberty but still navigating being a kid, but she handles it with grace. We often joke about her love of PBS and pre-school TV, but the reality is that we will miss the simplicity and innocence of this when it's past.

Fun Tidbits
With Little Sweetie having a long weekend this month due to Presidents Day, we made another quick trip to Canton to see Mamaw and Papaw, along with some other friends and family. We were especially excited because Cousin A had just given birth to her new baby!
