Our summer of adventure continues! Someone had a great time at Girl Scout Camp and then jumped right into a swimming pool to finish her summer swim season.
We got our girl back!
It wasn't her best invitational swim, but kudos to this kid for doing it the day she got home from camp!
Swim season is finished!
But just because Girl Scout camp is done, doesn't mean the fun stops! Science camp was up next, as well as our usual summer shenanigans.
We love WOW Science Camp!
Getting our summer reading rewards at the library and enjoying some quiet time!
Last day of science camp and asking E to watch our fish before...
...stopping for a cookie on our way to Dallas!
Dinner and a show at Medieval Times was a big hit, especially since Little Sweetie got to wear her archer costume and meet the falconer!
The girls are enjoying hotel life!
The day will eventually come where she doesn't want to do this anymore, so I will soak it in while I can!
Enjoying time at the cafe and giving her the $100 she earned in chores to spend!
Her dolls were definitely spoiled!
The next phase of the trip was crossing another stadium off our list by going to a Rangers game! And luckily for us, the Astros were in town.
Let's go 'Stros!
Finally, it was time for the main reason for our visit, the Wings game! It was a lot of fun and the arena was filled with energy. Little Sweetie had a blast and even got to meet the mascot, a Pegasus named Lightning!
A Wings win!
Finishing up the day with a Mellow Mushroom pizza; a great find since our area once closed during Covid!
Honestly, though, our kids could be happy anywhere as long as they have a hotel room with Boomerang in the cable package!
Happy 4th of July!
Very intrigued by the pendulum!
Enjoyed the the King Tut exhibit!
Finally got to show Daddy the new energy floor exhibits!
Made it into the remodeled butterfly house!
Sparkler magic!
It was a fun family day!
We actually had a bit of a low key week after that and spent our time taking walks, hitting the pool, going to the playground, and just hanging out.
Loving the art benches we pass when walking on the waterway!
Trying out her new snorkel mask!
Rained out at the pool, but still having fun!
Chuy's lunch and park time at the renovated Teddy Bear Park with Ms. A!
Chilling out watching some PBS Kids together.
We even managed to fit some cooking time in!
Tri training!
Race day ready!
Swim, bike, run!
Super proud of these athletes!
Fun with bubbles at the activities afterward!
Our triathlete!
Little Sweetie also got to have some non-competitive fun in the water this summer too!
Fun day with her friend G at The Woodlands Resort!
Boat time with the Godfamily!
Height and Weight
Little Sweetie is up to 71.6 lbs. this month and now up to 54.75 inches!
Personality
Spicy, but fun. There's still a lot of variation as she oscillates between a little girl and a tween. The attitude and sensitivity is there and we know this is going to be a struggle for all of us as she learns to control how she acts in regards to how she's feeling.
Developmental Milestones
Keeping busy and always finding fun things to do! I enjoy when she pulls out the building toys and we've also introduced her to typing this summer. With her piano-strengthened fingers, it should hopefully be a fairly easy skill to pick up!
Fun Tidbits
Overall just a fun month and now we can't wait for our cruise at the end of July!
Good night,
