Although Little Sweetie's 1st birthday (*sniff*) isn't for another 8 days, we held a small early celebration for her milestone today. It was a great day with several family members (Mimi and Pop-Pop flew in!) and local Marietta College friends.
Because of her bright and sunny disposition, we chose a Care Bear theme for the big day (it didn't hurt that I had a trunk load of Care Bears from when I was younger that we could use as decorations). I think it fit her perfectly!
We cut out and colored Care Bears for decoration, and added the Sticky Bellies month stickers we used for all Little Sweetie's monthly pictures as their tummy symbols. They came out very cute (And special thanks to Mimi and Pop-Pop for helping with coloring duty)!
The photo table. Goodness has she grown!
Adorable and delicious goodies! Sadly, I didn't get close of up pictures of the gorgeous cupcakes (nor of my amazingly arranged rainbow fruit and veggie trays. Boo).
"Oh, it's just me. Walking around in my birthday outfit. Yes, walking. Across a room several times. I like an audience for my monumental moments!"
"Well, here I am. I was promised cake?"
Candle time!
She seemed unsure of her cake, so...
...brother jumped in to help her out!
It took a bit, but she did warm up to the sugary goodness in front of her!
Our Little Sweetie!
Lots of love from her godparents!
So many blessings in our lives!
It was such a fun day and I am so glad we got to share it with such dear people. I'm also glad that Little Sweetie's crazy mosquito bites on her face didn't show up too much in the pictures! And the walking! Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us. It was such an amazing day!
The Long Blue Line!
Good night,
LSM
