Hanging out during Brother's My Gym class while modeling her new purple shoes!
"Excuse me, I need to take off my dress, switch from my Batman boots (which I insisted upon 10 minutes ago) to my purple shoes...
...so I am appropriately naked enough to go ride bikes and hit baseballs."
"Did I mention I really like these purple shoes?"
She's also been enjoying the cooler-than-normal May temps and playing outside quite a bit!
Ready to go outside!
So I can be lazy with Daddy and Brother in the hammock!
Check out my new super hero clothes! Let's go outside and play now!
Height and Weight
Still working on the weight gain! She's up a few ounces to 21 lbs., 10.2 ounces total. And we sadly forgot to get her height! Oops! We'll get it next month!
Personality
Still our happy and easy going baby girl! Her smiles have been a great distraction for Momma and Daddy and we cope with everything that is happening with Big Brother. We are thankful that she is so go-with-the-flow, even if she does have random outburst at times!
"Waaaa, I'm so angry...wait...I have ice cream. I'm good."
Developmental Milestones
So many words! Lots of talking and she's even identifying some letters and colors (blue being her favorite...she thinks everything should be blue)! She getting really good at putting on her shoes (even if they are often on the wrong feet) and stealing our socks and shoes is her new favorite game. She's also getting more fearless at My Gym and really working on those gross motor skills. Thanks to Brother's influence, she's also gaining some TV love, where she really wouldn't watch it before. Daniel Tiger and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are becoming her favorites too! Little Sweetie is also still trying to use the potty. We're not going to push it yet (sincerely, I just don't have the time right now to seriously work with her) but we're definitely encouraging her interest!
"Um, hi. I'm trying to be a big girl and go potty here!"
Warm fuzzies for potty success!
Fun Tidbits
She slowly, slowly, slowly weaning. Maybe one day! We'll get down to just a bedtime nursing for a few days but then suddenly she remembers what she's missing and demands a few more be added in to her day. Honestly, we're too stressed right now with everything with Big Brother to force anything and it's not really a bother (and Momma doesn't mind the cuddles). Plus, maybe it's getting her some extra calories!
Good night,
LSM
