Such a big month with our big girl! All her birthday festivities are in the other October 19th post because it was too long to include that here with her usual monthly update. And let's get to that too!
Basically, I hang with Wonder Woman every day. And it is awesome.
I realized that I haven't written about our daily routine in awhile, so I want to record that. I love going back and recounting how Little Buddy and I spent our days and I want to have those same memories with Little Sweetie.
On Mondays, we get up and get Little Buddy ready to go to school on the bus. Little Sweetie usually eats half of a banana, "cold toast" (also known as bread and butter), and a bowl of cereal (usually "We-we's" or Krispies) for breakfast. Although, I have to admit, she'd probably be just as happy if I let her lick up a spoon of butter. Sigh. They we get ready and try to make it to Baby Boot Camp as CLOSE to as on time as possible. We're usually late. But, something is always better than nothing! We then play at the park for a little bit before heading to her My Gym class. A quick walk takes us to lunch after My Gym and then we head home for nap (she usually falls asleep on the drive and transfers well, thank goodness!).
Breakfast can be interesting, especially if we have invited a snake to join us.
I mean, why not? Wonder Woman joins us on the potty too.
I love that she is starting to model the workout behavior! She wants to be strong!
Playground time!
My Gym! She's always tired after active Monday mornings, but they sure are fun!
We spend Tuesdays at the library for story time and then go on a trolley ride. Sometimes we pick Daddy or Aunt S up on the trolley too and go have lunch together. Then it is back home again for nap.
We love story time! There is always a great craft or activity after the stories too.
Reading her library books while admiring her dinosaur craft.
Cape is on and we are on the trolley!
Wednesdays always depend on the week. If it is a Minnesota week for Bubby, Sam get to go to a friend's house or Aunt J comes to play with her while I take Bubby on the airplane. If it is not, we like to have Wee Ones Wednesday with her friends, where we go do adventures together like the zoo or a farm or a play place. Thursdays and Fridays are similar; if it was a treatment week, she plays with friends or Aunt J on Thursday and she and I may clean up and catch up around the house on Friday. Non-treatment weeks see us working out or going to do errands.
Now we try to fill our afternoons with learning time and crafts when she wakes up from nap. She's really getting good a crafts and enjoys them a lot.
Showing off her awesome fine motor skills as she string beads and does mosaic stickers!
Then once Bubby gets home from school, we do learning time with him and then watch a show while Momma makes dinner and we wait for Daddy to get home. I love our days together!
Height and Weight
Her well check puts her at 36.5 in. (38%) and 31 lbs and 9.6 oz (61%). Still pint-sized and perfect!
Personality
Happy and creative. Look at the joy she has while modeling her Skye Halloween costume!
Skye to the rescue!
Developmental Milestones
In terms of fine motor skill, she has been doing great learning how to button and thread beads! For gross motor skill, she's been working her legs to push the pedals on her new bike and is actually jumping off of steps with two feet now (Little Buddy never reached this milestone and I am so happy to see her do it)! Also, her language continues to be ahead with her being able to both answer and ask "Why?" questions (although the "why, why, why? sometimes grates on Momma's nerves...I thought we had a few years until this!). And imaginatively, we can't help but laugh at her creation of "the bird ghost." She's decided when something is lost or missing that the bird ghost must have taken it. I'll admit, it is working in my favor whenever something like the last cookie disappears... "Nope, that wasn't Momma. The bird ghost must have 'taked' it!"
Also, her favorite phrase of the moment? "Let's do this!" Be still my heart!
Fun Tidbits
More story time visitors! Momma's cousin B was in town, so he stopped in to say hi. He brought books and helped read the kids their bedtime stories.
A short but very fun visit! Little Sweetie wants him to come back and play doll house again!
Now I head into uncharted territory with a neurotypical three-year-old. Let's wee where we go!
Good night,
LSM
