Little Sweetie is really getting into all her little projects around the house. Her fine motor is good enough that her painting is getting more precise and fun for her.
Painting time!
So since she's been enjoying painting so much, I thought we could ramp it up by going out to paint...with a princess! Little Sweetie isn't really into princesses all that much (super heros and Paw Patrol are more her bag), but she does like Belle. And she likes painting. And this ended up being a pretty magical experience for her!
Getting to paint with Belle! She was a little shy at first, but quickly warmed up.
After painting, it was time for a story!
Belle even gave her a rose!
Little Sweetie and her friend C had a great time!
But painting wasn't her main obsession this month...that was science! This little one found our science experiment bin and she couldn't get enough. First up, excavating dinosaurs!
Future archeologist, maybe?
She also figured out how to make snow!
She really can't get enough science!
She won't even put down her science supplies for a picture!
When she's not doing science, she can be found doing any number of of her new favorite activities. I just love watching her discover new things.
Cooking time! She helps Daddy make the pizza and helps me make the cookies...although I think she only helps me in order to lick the beaters.
Loving her new felt doll set.
Enjoying Lego time at the library!
Height and Weight
Staying the same at 34 lbs and just over 37 inches!
Small but mighty!
Personality
So grown up and fun. She's happy and intelligent and we can even watch her as she applies logic to situations. Really, the only time she's not pleasant is when she refuses to take a nap. She thinks she's growing up of them, but her behavior at 5 PM on no nap days begs to differ.
Sweet girl is definitely happiest with some ice cream!
Developmental Milestones
As I mentioned earlier, her fine motor is right on track. Her coloring, painting, tracing, and writing are becoming more precise. She's also building very well with little Legos! Gross motor is going strong too...she's really taken to going on her bike (and proclaiming herself the fastest) and we even had to get her a new helmet because we worried the other one didn't fit well enough to protect her if she wrecked due to her speediness.
"Let's race!"
Excited by her new helmet that she can color her own design on!
Her language continues to just burst. She answers questions in paragraphs, not even sentences. She can speak abstractly and communicate problems and potential solutions. This is just such a different experience than it was with Little Buddy.
Fun Tidbits
Besides her new love of all things blue (because of her blue eyes), I've also been impressed with how much she has been trying to connect with her brother. Little Buddy got his medical stroller this month (with a skateboard attachment for Little Sweetie). We have been able to do more together as a family with Little Buddy safely strapped in and I like seeing her work to interact with him.
Siblings.
Movie watching time.
Actually playing together! Woo!
Good night,
