Can't believe we are still enjoying this amazing weather! So temperate and beautiful, we can't help but be outside to enjoy it as much as possible.
Because sometimes you just need to be a bunny swinging off a rope in the sunshine.
We even decided to celebrate the arrival of this beautiful season with a crown. All hail the Queen of Spring!
Out first big event this month was a doozy...someone got to paint with some of her favorite super heroes, the PJ Masks!!!
All dressed up and ready to go!
G, K, and Little Sweetie meeting Gekko!
Super Gekko muscles!
Simply in awe when meeting Catboy!
The Owlette Duo!
What an amazing day!
And then we topped it off with a grocery store trip and a horsey ride. Enjoy and treasure the simple things!
Our next adventure was something else new that we'd never gotten around doing before...going strawberry picking with friends!
Sweet girl filled her bucket and enjoyed the homemade strawberry shortcake, strawberry pancakes, and strawberry jam we made with our fruit!
Speaking of homemade, Little Sweetie has been back in the kitchen! I've been so proud of how she is insisting on how doing it herself as much as possible. Measuring, pouring, mixing...our little chef!
Made some delicious baked hush puppies!
I realized that I haven't updated in awhile about what our weekly routine is. These days and our activities together are so special to me, I want to make sure I document them so I remember how we filled our days with fun.
On Mondays, I work out at the YMCA while she plays with friends in the child care. We then head over to her swimming class, lunch at Pure with Daddy (so she can get her favorite sweet potato fries!), followed by practice and play at My Gym. We then head home so that she can take a nap before learning time and Big Brother coming home. If the weather is nice, we play outside until it's time to make dinner.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, she goes to her preschool from 8:45 AM to 12 PM, after which is her favorite thing, picnicking at the playground and park next to her school with her friends G and K. We even get to feed the ducks and turtles! After that we normally run an errand (usually Target!) and then head home for usual afternoon rest and routine.
On Wednesdays, we got to the YMCA again, but afterwards we sometimes go to the Children's Museum or another kids' place. We often have lunch with Aunt S on these days. I like the freedom we have to pick something to do on Wednesdays. We then head home after lunch for rest.
On Fridays, we go to her My Gym class, which she still loves. After that, we try to fit in some fun playtime with our friends or Daddy (if it's his Friday off). We can also use this day to run errands if we need to. Everything we do together is so much fun!
Height and Weight
Someone grew a half inch this past month! Height is 40.5 inches and weight is 39.2 pounds.
Strong and confident and ready to take on the world! I've been so proud of her "I can do it and if I can't do it, it's only because I can't do it YET" mindset. She is really excited about everything new she is learning and doesn't let herself get discouraged, reminding herself that she just needs to work on whatever she is trying.
Ready to take on her first year of swim team this summer!
Developmental Milestones
Little Sweetie is really into playing games right now and I have to admit how impressed I am by how quickly she is picking up the rules of each game. Uno is currently a favorite! We are working to incorporate more family game time into our week, which isn't always easy as it is difficult for Big Brother to participate.
I'm also really proud of how mature and responsible she is. Many times I have to take her to appointments with me. This month it was time for my dentist appointment and she did great. She sat quietly, interacted respectfully and appropriately with the staff, and was very patient. It takes a lot of maturity and work for a 4 year old to be settled and self-entertaining for that amount of time and I made sure to recognize and compliment her on it.
Fun Tidbits
Texas wildflowers and flowering weeds are in bloom all over and this sweet girl keeps picking me beautiful bouquets. I treasure each petal.
