The year continues to keep moving along a quick clip and Little Sweetie's filling her time with Choir, Girl Scouts, Chess Club, Running, and Cooking. I'm tired just watching her!
Yes, Little Sweetie has gone from just two after school activities (Choir and Piano) to almost 4! She now stays after school for Chess Club and will be starting Track right after weekend Run Club finishes.
Choir got to have a really special moment this past month. They sing monthly at Church, but they got the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Junior High basketball game held a Frassati Catholic High School. The kids did great!
Do we have a future Frassati Falcon?
Ready to sing!
We stayed to watch a little of the game following the anthem and Little Sweetie really enjoyed it!
Our inaugural season of her school's Run Club has been going really well. I'm excited to see all of the kids run in the race next month!

Getting some run training in on the weekend with her girls!
Another big part of the month has been devoted to Girl Scouts...it's cookie season! Little Sweetie is hoping to help fund her first OVERNIGHT camping session this summer at resident camp. I'm so excited for her!
Cookie time!
I'm also really proud of all the Brownies in our Troop that worked on their Family of God religious award this month!
But I'd have to say that her new love is chess. I am surprised how quickly she took to Chess Club and how excited she is for it. It's really helped her become both a better loser AND a better winner, too!
"Want to practice with me, Momma?"
When we're not doing ALL THOSE THINGS (told ya, it's been busy!), we've been back in the kitchen working through Asian recipe boxes. This month has been South Korea.
Bulgogi kimbap!
Bindaetteok and kimchi!
Marinating and then prepping the dak bulgogi!
Two thumbs and two toes up on our deliciousness factor!
And then, sometimes, when we can take a quick breath...it's time to party with our friends!
Hanging with her buddy C at birthday party!
The 2nd grade crew celebrating "I" at her birthday party!
Height and Weight
Little Sweetie is at 59.4 pounds and 50.5 inches this month!
Happy Valentine's Day from our not-so-little sweetie!
Personality
She's just silly and fun and wonderful!
Attempting to get all her ducks in a row!
Fully embracing crazy hat and sock day at school!
Developmental Milestones
Second grade has turned a corner this month. After Little Sweetie's teacher retired in December and her replacement teacher left with health issues in January, the principal has stepped in as the teacher and is getting the class pulled back together. Little Sweetie is rocking all her subjects and now her homework!
Reading big girl chapter books and completing her online learning. Can't believe how old my baby is getting!
Fun Tidbits
Even with everything going on, Little Sweetie always finds time to create and build and tinker and draw. I love it when she's "bored," because she comes up with the most fun stuff!
Next month will find us in the middle of our biggest WILLPower event along with all the rest of the craziness! Here's hoping we all make it though ok!
Good night,
LSM
