The big story as we ended July and went into August was that we went on our first family cruise! But that's honestly too much to add to this entry, so it gets its own post. Don't worry; we have more than enough anecdotes to fill this month!
Coming back from the cruise meant transitioning back to reality very quickly! Big Brother's start of school was right around the corner, so we worked to fit in what summer moments we could.
Boat days!
The last of the camps: pottery and gymnastics!
Summer Spirit Night dinners!
But all too soon, the start of school crept up on us. Big Brother's school was starting earlier than Little Sweeties, so we at least got some special momma-daughter time!
All dressed up and looking too old!
Backpack blessing at the Sensory Mass!
While Big Brother's at school, Sister and Mother will play!
Living that only child life!
On our way!
Favorite parts of the Cleveland airport!
Almost to Canton!
Lunch at Woody's!
Great day at Tuscora Park with Mamaw and Papaw!
Tuscora Park was a big hit!
Checking out the Dover Dam! We are going to miss this weather!
Starbucks together before we head back to Texas!
Planes, skyways, and trains to get our luggage and car!
Wore out after a busy weekend!
But finally, the end of summer came for Little Sweetie. Our baby became a 4th grader!
Meet the Teacher!
First day of school!
Fourth grade is exhausting!
Height and Weight
Little Sweetie jumped up to 74 lbs. this month and soooooo close to 55 inches at 54 7/8 inches.
Personality
Still silly and fun and checking her boundaries. My smart mouth is coming back to haunt me in the form of my mini-me, however!
Developmental Milestones
Still entertaining herself with all the things she finds stored in our game room. She always creates something cool! I'll miss the days when she thinks she's too old for playing store or building with magnatiles!
Fun Tidbits
I got a job! This may be a bit confusing in a entry about Little Sweetie, but...I got a job as the Communications Coordinator at her school. They are working with me and my availability and I'm happy, both for the opportunity and for the chance to see more of this silly girl during the day.
I get to visit this crazy pants each time I'm on campus during lunch!
I'm hoping that, with school being back in our daily lives, we'll hit more of a routine and a groove, but we'll also be figuring out my job and all the school activities. Wish us luck!
Good night,
LSM
