Living It Up in the Big Easy

This week, I had a to give four presentations at a conference in New Orleans.  Because I am nursing Little Sweetie, I decided that it would be best if she accompanied me on the trip.  I was a little nervous about taking her, but it ended up being a great time!  She charmed everyone at the conference and I loved having some Momma-Daughter time while Daddy and Little Buddy had some boy time at home.

Sitting with Ms. R during one of our driving breaks on the way to New Orleans.  Ms. R was a fantastic roommate and co-parent this trip.  I couldn't have done it without her!

Due to some scheduling issues with babysitters, Little Sweetie actually came to each of my presentations.  I'm not sure to be relieved or offended that she slept through them in her stroller!  And even when she woke up, she was an adorable visual aid and co-presenter!

All work and no play makes Little Sweetie a dull girl!  Checking out Bourbon Street and trying to steal Momma's wine glass.  Cheers!

Silly girl was ready for Mardi Gras with her mask and her beads!

Overall, it was a great trip and I was thrilled with the level of support and kindness we received from both my colleagues and other conference participants.  So glad I could start her early on the path to good research!

We had lots of fun, but were happy to get home to Brother and Daddy!

Good night,
