Finally warm enough for some splash pad fun!
Dancing outside on the bench after a lunch at Chuy's!
Strawberry smoothie time with Momma!
When we aren't out getting treats, we stay home to make some ourselves!
But it's not always fun and games...sometimes we have to work! Like when she is being a WILLPower representative and accepting a donation from Ms. S at My Gym on her Big Brother's behalf!
Behold, the rare sight of Little Sweetie with her hair pulled up! Don't blink, you'll miss it!
Besides our numerous trips this month (documented in this blog in separate entries) we also had another big occasions this month...Little Buddy's 6th birthday! Little Sweetie was happy to celebrate with her big brother, and enjoyed going to the Museum of Natural Science to see the dinosaur bones and butterflies to commemorate his big day!
Happy birthday, Bubby!
Checking out the dinosaurs!
Caterpillar ride with Big Brother in the butterfly house!
Height and Weight
Whelp, Daddy did it. After Momma and Big Brother's week in Minnesota for his treatment and tests, we came back home to a 32 lb Little Sweetie! This meant she can finally be forward facing in her carseat...and it was right in time for our trip to California!
So this is what the world look likes from this angle!
Personality
Still so happy and social UNLESS you want her to do something different than what she wants to do! She's also becoming very logical and sure of herself, and explains why things happen the way they happen and gives rationale behind her own thoughts and opinions. Also, she has started responding to the name of her favorite Paw Patrol character, Skye, and often flies like Skye around the house!
Developmental Milestones
Baby girl's mind is like a sponge and it has been a whirlwind watching how she develops so quickly...I'm hoping that I can keep up! She now walks down the stairs (which makes me a little sad because I miss her penguin-belly-sliding old way of coming down them) and shows great fine motor skill (you should see her go when we play the Fishing Game!). Her language has advanced to the point she is giving logical reasons to disagree with me. Yikes! I shouldn't have to deal with this at 2!
Fun Tidbits
Baby girl really likes to prolong bedtime by adding in new "rituals" for us to do each night, like wrapping her up like a "baby burrito." Right now, she's all about making "Monster Caves" and reading her bedtime stories while inside said cave.
Reading stories like a normal person with Big Brother...
...before heading to her own room and making me construct her Monster Cave so we can read more stories in there! I love her imagination!
Until next month,
LSM
