Two months!
We have been very busy preparing for Christmas this month. We're so excited to for her first Christmas! We may have a few too many outfits for her. ;)
Santa Baby!
First picture with Santa!
We are also still having lots of fun with brother. He continues to adapt pretty well to having her in our lives, which makes me so happy. I hope they grow up to be great friends.
Playtime and book time!
First trip out in the double stroller!
Still working to keep Momma's attention, but loves his baby sister!
Even if she's secretly plotting to steal his toys!
Height and Weight
According to her two month appointment two days ago, she is 23 inches (75%) and 11 lbs., 14.3 ounces (66%). We joked that she is petite compared to her big brother (though she is still 92% in head size!). She seems to have taken offense at this comment and has started eating even more, as if accepting the challenge to catch up to brother!
Personality
Still a very sweet, calm baby. Not nearly as demanding as her brother was! Whereas he would get very insistent exactly every two hours for his feeding, sister would sleep through them would I let her! As it is, she is closer to every 2.5 to 3 hours now. Her sweetness is really shining through her smiles and totally makes up for the approximately 15 minutes of crankiness she has each day. Honestly, her calm and alert demeanor makes her seem older than she is.
Developmental Milestones
She is sleeping about 6 to 7 hours a night regularly, which is a blessing. Also, she is very interested in her surroundings and is constantly absorbing the world around her. What is really amazing are her beautiful social smiles! Daddy and I just bask in them and they make our days brighter.
Why hello there!
Sleep giggles!
So alert and so happy!
Love this sweet face!
Daddy was also able to give Little Sweetie her first bottle this month! She ate like a champ and no issue going from nursing to bottle to back to nursing again.
Fun Tidbits
While we have had a lot of fun preparing for Christmas, we did also have to deal with her first runny nose. Thankfully, all she ever experienced was a little drainage and we (knock on wood) haven't had any real sickness hit us yet this winter. Little Sweetie also met a new friend this month! Our good friend, Ms. M, just had her son, B. We can tell already that they will be great playmates.
Little Sweetie and Baby B
It's been a wonderful month with this sweet girl. We cannot wait to celebrate the holidays with her!
Good night all,
